Vick Hope - who we're pretty sure you'll recognise from Capital - has been confirmed as the fifth celebrity contestant on the brand new series of Strictly Come Dancing, so expect to see her tango and jive her way onto your screens very soon.

Louise Rainbow, who is executive producer on Strictly, said at the time: "A huge thank you goes to Brendan from all of us for 15 incredible series of Strictly".

The news was revealed this morning (15 August) on the Capital Breakfast Show, and is the fifth announcement, with previous reveals appearing on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, and The One Show.

From a young age, Vick has been involved in charity work and although her mother rejected the offer for Vick to become the face of Childline, she has gone on to become an Amnesty International ambassador and a human rights activist.

More Strictly contestants will be announced in the coming days. "Dances like Ballroom and Latin are totally outside my comfort zone but I love dancing, it makes people happy - myself included", she said about the news. "I've started genuinely having nightmares about going out in the first week!"

He also took to Twitter to confirm the news: 'So this is actually happening!.

YouTuber Joe Sugg has also been announced but as a contestant, but his casting has received a backlash on social media. "It's a freakish pressure that makes you sink or swim and I've missed it since having to retire from cricket".
