Nintendo Switch owners will not be automatically charged when the service launches in the second half of September.

Nintendo still doesn't have a solid launch date for the Switch Online service, but the company has narrowed it down a bit.

The wait was long for Nintendo Switch Online but its nearly here after numerous delays. 3 will be joined by Donkey Kong, Ice Climber, The Legend of Zelda, Mario Bros., Soccer, Super Mario Bros. and Tennis. Extras that have been confirmed to include online play, cloud back-ups and save files for compatible games, and access to classic NES games with new online feature. Friends can even watch each other play single-player games online, and "pass the controller" at any time. When the service launches, online multiplayer in games will be locked behind the subscription.

Nintendo Switch Online is cheaper than PlayStation Plus, and Xbox Live Gold. This will make it easier to retrieve game data should you lose your system or start using a new one.

We'll update as soon as more details about the service are released.
