We don't have big issues but with these little things we need to think about if it is a risk or not and if it is a risk do we take that risk or not and all that stuff.

Despite spending £250million on new players in 2018, Klopp believes City are still the team to beat and used the Rocky IV film to emphasise his point.

But the German recognises it remains a sizeable task and likened City to Drago, the formidable rival to fictional boxing character Balboa.

'City - the champions - have not lost a player and brought in Mahrez.

"We are still Rocky Balboa and not Ivan Drago, we are the ones who have to do more and fight more, that must be our attitude". I don't think about that because it's not what we have now, it's about what we make of it, how often we deliver, how often we bring ourselves in a mood to fight against all these Premier League teams who all want to have our points.

Guardiola responded to Klopp's "favourites" assertion by saying: 'Thank you, Jurgen.

"We will try to reach the highest place". We did not reach anything so far. What about United? What about the other clubs? We only did finals.

The Reds were one of the most exciting teams to watch in world football last season, thrilling fans with their own unique brand of expansive, high-octane football. Do we go to finals again?

"Ragnar (Klavan) no real chance, Joel (Matip) did parts of training like Joe (Gomez) did, we will see how they are today". We were in finals, yes, but if we got to the final we should win it this time. In the league it's exactly the same. "We have to be like Rocky".

The Reds have strengthened in the close season with the likes of Alisson, Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri arriving and boss Klopp says Liverpool are ready to "really go for it". "That's what Liverpool have to do too, but I think they're a centre-half short of winning it".
