Ian Wright states his prediction for Arsenal v Man City

The new Premier League season is upon us, as is the Unai Emery era at Arsenal.

"He is going to be a very similar manager to a manager I had in Rafa Benitez, going from a team that wasn't one of the giants in Spain but was still competing and winning trophies".

"For that, we are working this week and preparing for this game and preparing for the opposition against City as a collective and as individual players".

This will be the first time Arsenal and Man City have met on the opening day of the season since 1994-95, when the Gunners won 3-0 at Highbury under George Graham.

Unai Emery now has less than 24 hours to add any more players to his side, before the window slams shut at 5pm tomorrow.

It's expected he'll have no shortage of suitors, with reports suggesting a clutch of Premier League clubs are after the scrawl of the vastly-experienced former Manchester United forward. "We want to give him confidence", Emery said.

"We only have three players: Carl Jenkinson, David Ospina, and Joel Campbell, with the possibility to leave".

"Today, we had a meeting with the players to close all the possibilities to leave or come with more players", Emery said.

The Colombian global will also likely leave the club as Unai Emery says because he has played as a back up for Petr Cech for the last three years and the gunners signing Bernd Leno clearly showed that the gunners don't have trust in him anymore.

"Also, I think that Guardiola's coaching is clear in this team".

The new Arsenal boss admits Guardiola has shone more both as a player and manager, but has welcomed the challenge posed by his counterpart ahead of Sunday afternoon's showdown, live on Sky Sports. There were a lot of positives in the pre-season games the Gunners played, especially the seamless induction of young players like Matteo Guendouzi and Emile Rowe Smith into the first team.
