Wednesday, and the final day of practice for the final Major of the year, promises more thunderstorms.

Davis Love III responds to a question during a news conference for the PGA Championship golf tournament at Bellerive Country Club, Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, in St. Louis.

The now 42-year old is a four-time PGA Championship victor having won the event in 1999, 2000, 2006 and 2007. "He was the hero".

Woods is only eight months into his comeback from spinal fusion surgery after missing most of the past two seasons with severe back pain that had him wondering if he might ever play again.

"Today we only got in five holes and didn't really get a chance to see a whole lot, so I'll have to do some more homework tomorrow and get a good feel for what's going on for the rest of the week". He looked as if he might be turning the corner at the British Open last month when he shot 65 on Saturday to surge into contention, but a birdie-less Sunday and final-round 76 dropped him to the wayside.

"It's something very special for quite a large number of players at the moment that he's had his comeback and he's playing well and we have that chance really, we could eventually be playing with Tiger on a Sunday coming down the stretch", Fleetwood said.

Along with coverage of the featured groups, PGA Championship LIVE will provide coverage of the closing Nos. But he turns 30 in December, and is already aware of the next generation of stars making their mark on the game. "Being a teenager growing up playing golf, in my generation we were all looking up to him, especially around 2000, 2001, 2002". I know how to play the game of golf. But I guess I'm kind of thankful for it, but I didn't-you know, I had the opportunity on the Tour this year and Thomas [Bjorn] had the same, to pair guys together, if I wanted.

Doubters say Woods gets exhausted late in his rounds and point to scoring averages a full stroke higher on his back nines than his starting sides.

"I wish I could figure that out".

"It's just that there's going to be certain days that I'm just not going to have the speed and flexibility and the movement that I once did, " Woods said.

Woods addressed the concerns over his health leading into the PGA Championship, and explained that he won't be as consistent as he once was due to his age. So things are going to be different from day to day, and it's just about managing it. "I just didn't think that would be fair to the guys". "He was in bed".

Even Woods will have to re-learn have to win Majors and McIlroy is nothing but impressed by the 14-time Major winner's recovery from injury.

"I think it's a great pairing for me".

"But, as we saw at the last major a few weeks ago, he's right there, which is an unbelievable achievement".

Thomas expects a frenzied atmosphere with throngs of spectators watching Woods and his group.

"It will be cool for him to be back and he obviously has a lot of great success in this tournament", Thomas said. You still have to determine how much risk you are willing to stomach, but if you're going to play Rose this week, Majors Challenge is the place to do it. Jordan Spieth is another top contender, as he attempts to complete a career grand slam. You fill out a lineup of 12 starters, who are divided into four groups based on World Golf Rankings.
