Sony has just announced a limited edition PlayStation 4 Pro to celebrate the company having sold 525.3 million PlayStation systems worldwide.

Help Sony celebrate selling over 500 million PlayStation consoles by buying another one!

Pre-orders for the 500 Million Limited Edition PlayStation 4 Pro will begin on August 24. It also comes with a limited edition DualShock 4 and PS4 camera, both of which share the console's soothing blue color scheme.

Usually, Sony India has been exceptionally proactive with bringing PS4 bundles and accessories to India and this should make it as well. This particular variant, which is created to celebrate PlayStation's achievement of reaching 525.3 million units of hardware worldwide, comes with translucent body.

When turned on, the blue light on the front of the console will illuminate the system's innards, while a copper plate will commemorate the manufacturing number of the console.

"Extra Special" serial numbers like 09995, which is the United States launch date of the original PS, will be available. Examples include 09995 (Sept. 9th, 1995, US PlayStation launch), 01115 (Nov. 15, 2013, US PS4 launch) and 01013 (Oct. 13, 2016, US PS VR launch). Check with your local retailers to see if they will carry the system.

The 500 Million Limited Edition DualShock 4 will also be available as a standalone purchase for $64.99 United States dollars / $74.99 CAD / €64.99 / 6,480 yen. The 500 Million Limited Edition Gold Wireless Headset will appear in North America in early September 2018 and in Europe on October 11, 2018.
