Davis Love III joins an elite club this week at the PGA Championship, as he makes his 100th major appearance.

"I had a lot of stretching". "I know Phil (Mickelson) didn't win until his 30s". I've never had a spinal restriction before, and I played all those years without it.

"I always have hope", Fowler said.

And Bellerive is not a familiar course, as it last hosted a big event 10 years ago when the BMW Championship was played here.

"If I don't get injured again, stay healthy and hitting it the way I'm hitting it right now, I would think I could play a few more competitively", Love added.

Unfortunately for the tournament's TV ratings, one of them isn't Tiger. "Try and get as many holes as I possibly can, but also make sure that I'm ready for an a.m. start on Thursday".

"There's going to be certain days that I'm just not going to have the speed and the flexibility and the movement that I once did. So things are going to be different from day-to-day, and it's just about managing it". "When you think about it, if you played all four of them for 25 years, that's pretty incredible, and I spread it out over a little bit longer than that".

"The number one thing that stuck out really was how much he sort of struggled for a while in that first round, but stuck in, kept that belief and kept himself in the game and ended up winning a major", he said. "I had won the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach and the Open Championship was at St. Andrews a month later, so I wasn't really asked a lot, other than, 'What would it be like to complete the career Grand Slam at St. Andrews?"'

And while Woods has not spoken in past months of his physical well-being confirmation he underwent ice treatment on his back on Monday has many observers wondering if Woods is covering-up his true fitness. "So that's all I'm going to say".

"I might put a few noses out of joint by saying, but in my opinion, (he's) the best player that's ever played the game", said Bjørn.

Earlier, European Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjorn said he believe Woods, even at his current state, is "intimidating" to play against in match play.
