Angelina Jolie accuses Brad Pitt of failing to pay 'meaningful' child support

She allegedly claims that Brad Pitt has not paid "meaningful child support" for their six children since their separation two years ago.

According to NBC News, 43-year-old Jolie made the accusations in a court filing Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by NBC. Jolie's team didn't define what constituted as a "meaningful" child-support payment.

Pitt has kept a low profile in the past two years, while Jolie has recently been filming a sequel to fairytale drama Maleficent in London and directed a 2017 film about the 1970s Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia in which more than one million people died.

ET Canada has reached out to Pitt's rep for further comments. She is not allowed to monitor the minor children's text messages with their father. "The custody agreement is in full effect and that has left Angelina seething with resentment and looking for any way to control the situation".

After a period of relative peace, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce has become a battleground once again.

Now, nearly two years since their separation, it only seems like things are getting worse between the co-parents.

"In order for the marriage to be dissolved, certain things have to be resolved by both parties first, including matters of financial and child support", the source says.

"(Pitt) has a duty to pay child support", DeJean writes in the two-page brief.

The document says her attorneys will work with Pitt's lawyers to ensure the actors are single again in 2018.

But sources close to Pitt said Jolie has been "extremely difficult" during the negotiations and that he had told her he'd had enough of the endless back-and-forth over the kids.

"From the start, Angelina has been focused on their health and needs, which is why it was so important that this last court hearing be conducted privately", the spokesperson said.
