Fossil announced its fourth generation Wear OS lineup this morning, comprised of new Q Explorist and Q Venture iterations.

As we've been waiting for, Fossil has today launched two new watches incorporating a number of long awaited features with the Fossil Q Venture HR and Fossil Q Explorist HR now available to order in the US. That includes a heart rate tracker on the rear of the device, Global Positioning System for tracking your location without your phone and a waterproof design that will allow you to take the watch swimming too.

They're also equipped with NFC for mobile payment - it's only compatible with Google Pay, but that's still better than nothing for someone who wants a quick way to pay for purchases. With GPS, you can track your workouts with Google Fit and third-party apps without bringing your phone along.

Both of Fossil's new watches offer stainless steel cases - the Q Venture HR is 40mm and the Q Explorist HR is 45mm - Snapdragon 2100 processors, ambient light sensors, altimeters, microphones, and magnetic charging. Both watches range in price from United States dollars $255 to USD $275, Fossil hasn't announced Australian pricing at this stage but we'll update when they advise of availability and pricing.

The Fossil Q Venture HR and Fossil Q Explorist HR are now official.

The new Fossil smartwatches - the Q Venture HR and Q Explorist HR - range in price from Rs. 19,995 to Rs. 21,995 depending on the band and colour preference. Buyers will get 4GB of inbuilt storage (for offline music playback and such), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, Wi-Fi b/g/n and a battery life of 24 hours or more.
