Within the tumultuous state, Coinbase gave a date for its plans to list coins stating that it is finally ready to add Ethereum Classic to its list of tradable coins. "We intend to allow 24-48 hours of inbound transfers through Coinbase Pro and Coinbase Prime before enabling trading". In line with platform trading policy, ethereum classic books will open in post-only for at least 10 minutes, after which trading on Pro and Prime will be activated as soon as sufficient liquidity is established.

Once Ethereum classic has been listed, it will be made available to all geographies, depending on the availability considered Coinbase platform trading rules.

As the final testing gets completed, Ethereum Classic will be added to all products that Coinbase offers.

In 2016, Ethereum hard fork was created that caused many customers to have a balance of Ethereum Classic on Coinbase Pro and Coinbase Prime.

Coinbase Consumer will be somewhat late to the party as platform policy dictates that assets can only be listed on Coinbase Consumer after being listed on Coinbase Pro and Prime. Its price is 14.96% up in last 24 hours. Coinbase, however, did not give any specific date for the listing or timeline on the integration of Ethereum Classic. Separately, the company announced it is exploring the addition of 37 new virtual currencies to its custodial service, Coinbase Custody. "They're doing a final testing right now and they anticipate having it on there". We will provide an update on that day to either confirm that we are accepting transfers, or to provide further updates.

According to a blog post published on Friday, Coinbase Custody is also looking to add various existing and upcoming crypto assets for storage purposes, though not for trading at this time.

"LOL $ETC, i feel weird owning this token but hey".
