Wolves move for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina

Everton are interested in Mina, but Lyon have reportedly approached Barcelona to sign the Colombia global as part of their plan to recruit a centre-back.

After failing to establish himself as a first-team player for Barcelona, the Catalan giants appear to be prepared to cash in on Mina, who they signed from Palmeiras earlier on this year.

The 23-year-old made just five LaLiga appearances last season and only two of those ended in Barça victories, while his performance in the shock 5-4 defeat to Levante drew plenty of criticism.

With Clement Lenglet snapped up from Sevilla to offer competition for Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti, Mina is slipping down the Barca pecking order, and looks to be available on loan this summer.

'Right now, I'm enjoying my holidays and, when the time comes, I'll decide with my family what's best for everyone'.

Mina, who was one of the stars of the 2018 World Cup in Russian Federation, only joined Barcelona in January but may now be sold or loaned out after being restricted to just four La Liga starts in the second half of last season.

The Colombian worldwide did impress at this summer's World Cup though, scoring three goals in three games as he proved his dominant aerial ability from set pieces.
