And at the big Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, the DCEU fulfilled its promise to give us a taste of the further adventures of Diana Prince on the big screen.

What do you think about the Wonder Woman 1984 footage description?

Plot details for Wonder Woman 1984 are now under wraps, though the film will follow the Amazonian Princess during the Cold War as she faces off against the Soviet Union in the 1980s and encounters a new adversary named Cheetah.

The footage that was aired showed Wonder Woman flying into a mall - classic '80s - and rescuing a young girl while taking out some gun-toting thugs. She hips her lasso around them runs the other direction and less off the platform to the level below. The screen then quickly cuts to the Wonder Woman 1984 logo, followed by a shot of Wonder Woman running at top speed down a city street through people and stalled cars.

"One of my favorite things about making the original was that it took place during World War I in 1917, an era full of metaphors like modernity and the mechanized world", she said. "There was no better time, now that Wonder Woman existed, to see Wonder Woman in a period of time that's really us in our most extreme".

Added Gadot: "It's not a sequel".

Directed by Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and Kristen Wiig, Wonder Woman 1984 is slated to hit theaters on November 1, 2019.
