The device will be available for the first sale at 10 AM tomorrow, i.e. July 20 in China. Its specifications were confirmed by Lin and he also showed the colour variants - blue, black and gold. There is also a 2.5D curved glass laid on the top.

The 64 GB storage + 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage + 6 GB models of the Mi Max 3 carry respective price tags of 1,699 Yuan (~$252) and 1,999 Yuan. The screen is an LCD with a 2,160x1,080 pixel resolution, the processor is an octa-core, 1.8GHz Snapdragon 636 with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and the rear camera is a 12/5-megapixel camera, coupled with an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

Chinese phone brand Xiaomi has launched the follow up to last year's Mi Max 2 (which we reviewed here).

In the photography department, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 sports a dual-camera setup at the rear comprising of 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 5-megapixel sensor. For the front, it features an 8-megapixel camera for selfies with a soft LED flash, 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.0 aperture. Both new smartphones, apart from continuing the legacy of being a part of Google's Android One, will come with a thin-bezel screen. The Mi Max 3 weighs 221g and has a thickness of 7.99mm. As for India the smartphone is expected to launch in the month of October. If you opt for the 4GB RAM model, it will arrive with 64GB of internal storage, while the 6GB RAM variant will have 128GB of internal storage. You'd expect that on a phone of this size, as powering the massive screen will probably take a lot out of the phone's (admittedly huge) 5,500 mAh battery.

Connectivity options on the Mi Max 3 include 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-SIM 4G VoLTE support, GPOS/A-GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, a type-C USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
