Liverpool prospect Brewster signs pro contract at Anfield

Liverpool forward and talented youngster Rhian Brewster has signed a new long-term deal with the Reds that see's his future committed to Merseyside.

The 18-year-old England youth worldwide won the Golden Boot at the Under-17 World Cup, scoring eight goals to help his nation win the tournament in India, and Liverpool will be delighted to have secured his signature.

The former Chelsea man expressed his delight to Liverpoolfc.com moments after signing the new deal: "It feels great". I'm looking forward to getting back fit and making some appearances. It seems like I've been here my whole life, to be honest.

Brewster has progressed through Liverpool's academy ranks and came to prominence a year ago when starred in England's triumphant Under-17 World Cup campaign in India, finishing as top scorer at the tournament with eight goals.

The teenager told the club's official website: "I was on such a high at that time in my career". I (still) remember my first training session. You're going to get knocked down sometimes; unfortunately, I did with my ankle being injured.

Brewster will be part of the senior set-up at Melwood for the 2018-19 campaign.

Brewster, who has been missing being involved, is desperate to return to action and wants to make an impression at Liverpool, proving to everybody that staying at Anfield was the right choice for him.
