Right now, it looks like Hart may be the Lakers' breakout star of the summer.

Mykhailiuk, a second round pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, put together a clinic in the two-week event to help the Lakers reach the Summer League Championship. There, he averaged 13.5 points, 91 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game.

John Jenkins had 25 points for the No. 2 seed Trail Blazers (5-0) and Archie Goodwin became the all-time Las Vegas Summer League scorer in the fourth quarter, passing Coby Karl (337). Hart was the 30th pick in the National Basketball Association draft previous year and has unquestionably played as a top 10 pick.

"We all want to win out here, we've gotten this far so why go home with a loss", said Layman, who is averaging 14 points after the first six games. Summer League Finals MVP K.J.

When it comes to the Bulls and their Summer League experience, there is one major positive that stands out: Wendell Carter Jr. Graham shot 37 percent from the field, making 11 of 30 attempts. He went into the Summer League with an intention to "dominate'. How they came together, how they played, they shared the ball, different guys scored on different nights, it was very encouraging".

Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka identified Hart, who hit 6 of 15 3-pointers in the win over Cleveland, as one of the reasons why the Lakers did not pursue signing a shooting specialist in free agency.

To start the third quarter, Lakers center Jeff Ayres, got off to a good start, but the Lakers never recovered. "I really love Josh for that because he fought to continue to play cause he's a competitor and he's a victor and we're trying to build a championship mentality throughout our organization and we talk about those things every day. We talked about getting on them early and taking the crowd out, staying composed and not letting the fans get into it and get us rattled". Also expected to be key contributors are Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and NBA Summer League MVP Josh Hart, while forner LeBron nemesis Lance Stephenson was signed in free agency and will add toughness plus a veteran presence. "It's just consistency. That's all I'm going to say about that". And when you miss shots during a game, it doesn't matter what all you have achieved before that. "It's fun for us to play them again, we had a tough loss past year, didn't have our best game". Small forward Brandon Ingram came into his own as a strong all-around player who even filled in at point guard when Ball was hurt.

"I can't really speak for [what the title means to] the organization, but as competitors it's important", Stotts told The Crossover.
