Without missing a beat, the waitress, identified as Emelia Holden, grabs him by the collar and body slams him to the floor.

"I just did what I felt was best".

The incident took place on June 30.

A man has been arrested after he was filmed touching a waitress's backside as he walked past her before she threw him to the ground. The officers detained the man after looking at surveillance footage, Savannah Police Department spokesperson Bianca Johnson confirmed.

He spent two nights in jail before being released on July 2 on $2,500 bail. She says she then asked a coworker to call the cops, and she claims Cherwinski tried to play it off as barely touching her as he tried to get past her.

The video went viral when it was posted to Reddit a few days ago and received more than 50,000 "upvotes", which is similar to Facebook likes, by Thursday evening.

Holden said all women should feel empowered to do exactly what she did.

"I didn't even know I could do that".

"So she's a server. of justice", one Reddit user commented.

For what it's worth, Cherwinski's day got a lot worse: the police were called, and he was arrested for sexual battery - right there in front of his wife and children. "I've never done that before".

Holden spoke about the incident in an interview with People.

At first, Holden figured it was a friend joking with her because "his hand went further than it should have", she told People, so she thought it couldn't be a stranger.

She also revealed that when the police arrived, Cherwinski insisted he had just been trying to move her out of the way so he could pass.

"As soon as the cops saw the CCTV footage, they immediately arrested the man".

"'All that I want from my experiences is for women to know that it's okay to stand up for yourself", said Emelia to the Daily Mail. "You also have the right to wear whatever you want without having to worry about being groped".
