With June 2017-June 2018 in view, Floyd Mayweather, American boxer, was named the world's highest-paid entertainer earning $285 million in that period.

He has jumped 62 places from a year ago, and is ahead of the likes of solo musicians including Taylor Swift and Beyonce in terms of overall earnings.

Oscar-winning star Clooney earned an estimated US$239 million after selling the Casamigos tequila company he co-founded to British spirits company Diageo in June past year.

But Mayweather broke that barrier a year ago when his landmark crossover boxing rules contest against UFC star Conor McGregor, a fight he won in the 10th round, earned him $275 million and took his total career earnings past $1 billion.

While reality star Kylie Jenner, 20, came in third on the yearly Forbes Celebrity 100 rundown, to a great extent on account of her thriving beauty and skin care products line that Forbes said put her on track to be the youngest, independent extremely rich person in the United States. In fifth place is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who earned $124 million. The band released their 14th studio album, Songs of Experience, in December.

This year's list includes more Kardashian-Jenners than ever, but 15 total women made the list, including Ellen DeGeneres at No. 15 ($87.5 million), Beyonce at No. 35 (60 million), and J.K Rowling at No. 42 ($54 million).

British band Coldplay are in seventh place with estimated earnings of $115 million, much of it garnered from their A Head Full Of Dreams tour, while Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi takes eight position.

The "Shape of You" singer is the only solo act in the top ten.

These stars are raking in insane amounts of dollars pulling in a combined $6.3 billion pretax over the past year, up 22% from last year.
