Victoria Azarenka strongly answered criticism made by the BBC commentator John Inverdale towards her. Inverdale made a big claim when the Belarusian hit a double fault during the mixed doubles match she was playing alongside Jamie Murray against Harriet Dart and Jay Clarke, saying, 'Azarenka's second serve - woof!' "Vika" and Murray prevailed 6-2, 6-2 dominating in the match. The rivals were very active near the net, which helped Alexander Peya and Nicole Melichar to win.

Murray was aiming for a third title in the event at the All England Club after memorably partnering Jelena Jankovic to success in 2007, but he was unable to repeat the feat with former world No 1 Azarenka.

The scratch pairing of Murray and Azarenka had been brokered by Murray's regular doubles partner Bruno Soares, and it had gelled quickly. I didn't really return well enough, to be honest.

But when Murray dumped an easy effort into the net, Azarenka directed her backhand down the line wide, her partner could not dig out a return and Peya replied with another scorcher, the team dubbed Muzzarenka suddenly found themselves 4-0 down in the tie-breaker. "She's such a great player, such a champion".

"But to win here, it's wonderful", said Melichar, who finished runner-up in the women's doubles with Kveta Peschke. I didn't really give Vika any chances to put pressure on them. I didn't feel like I really served that good either. I was disappointed at my performance. I didn't really felt like I served very well either.

"But they played well". Played a lot of tennis. She's such a great player, such a champion.

But guts and doggedness were not quite enough for him to become the first boys' singles title victor since 1962 as he lost out to Taiwanese top seed Tseng Chun-hsin 6-1 6-7 6-4.

"The last few days, I've been happy with the way that progressed", he said.

"It gives me huge confidence". I think it was important for me to play and be in those situations where the momentum changes a lot of times, try to figure out the way.
