Destiny's Child Michelle Williams Checks into Mental Health Facility for Depression

TMZ reported on Tuesday that Williams had checked herself into a mental health facility.

She says she recently chose to listen to the advice she has given, and wants to lead by example in seeking treatment.

Former Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams has revealed she's now happy and healthy after recently seeking medical help for mental health issues.

The songstress is not devoid of support in this trying time as her fiancè Chad Johnson and close friends have shown support after her big announcement.

For those of you who don't know, Michelle has been extremely open with her struggles and battles with depression. "If you change your mind, you can change your life". "For years, I was in one of the top-selling female groups of all time, suffering with depression", Williams added. "I think at the age of 25, had I had a name to what I was feeling at the time, I would have disclosed that 'I've been suffering from depression, '" the singer said.

Williams went on to say that she had suicidal thoughts while she was a part of Destiny's Child.

As she did today, the entertainer sought help and reached out to Matthew Knowles, who was her manager during her time in the band.

On an episode of The Talk in 2017, she revealed she felt suicidal when Destiny's Child was at the height of its fame. I was to that place where it gets so dark and heavy... "I so love and admire you [sic] unbelievable courage".
