In the last decade, Neilson suffered a major personal loss when her closest friend, designer Alexander McQueen committed suicide in 2010.

Annabelle Neilson, the former star of the Bravo reality series Ladies of London, has died at age 49.

Her body was found by the ambulance service at her £3.1 million home in Chelsea, west London, police said.

Her death comes nearly a decade after he took his own life in 2010, and Neilson opened about their relationship and that loss in a 2015 interview with The Daily Mail.

Socialite Annabelle was last seen in public at the wedding of her ex boyfriend Lord Edward Spencer-Churchill on 8 July. "Most of the time people called me Mrs McQueen", she told the Daily Mail in 2015.

In addition to being a former cast member on Ladies of London, Neilson is also a former model and wrote a series of children's books titled The Me Me Me's.

According to Annabelle, she and Kate were best friends for a long time, and they love each other like sisters.

In an interview with The Daily Mail in 2015, she said she thought about him every day.

Her modeling career began after she got sober, and at age 22 met McQueen, becoming one of his muses and a friend.

Kate Moss, one of Neilson's closest confidantes, also confirmed the death by sharing a photo of the pair on her social media accounts Tuesday, writing no words and instead posting an emoji of a broken heart.

Neilson said McQueen loved her immediately and they felt like they knew each other straight away.

"He liked my wackiness - and the fact that when I went out, I made his outfits live", Neilson told W Magazine in 2012. I wouldn't say it's been a ride, possibly a disappointment but we all make mistakes. She said, "we fight over stupid things, then we kiss and makeup".

Page Six reports that a number of dark posts have been removed from Kate's friend's Instagram account following her death. She always looks out for me and I look out for her.

Neilson made headlines in 1994 after eloping with Nathaniel Rothschild, son of the banker Jacob Rothschild.
