How to Track the Best Amazon Prime Day 2018 Deals

Just don't forget that in order to enjoy Prime Day, you have to be an Amazon Prime member.

This browser tool keeps an eye out for deals as you explore other sites. If you've got your eye on something, you can use the Amazon app to scan for what items will soon go on a lightning sale.

It is actually more than a day as it begins at midday on Monday, 16 July and runs until midnight on Tuesday, 17 July. Go to the app's settings menu, click notifications and toggle alerts on for "Your Watched and Waitlisted Deals".

Amazon stock dropped about $11, or 0.6%, to $1,823, in the 15 minutes after Prime day launched.

Look, Prime Day 2018 hasn't even officially started yet so it's obviously impossible to say which deals will end up being the best bargains of Amazon's big event. For Monthly Prime Membership, the membership will be up for renewal on a monthly basis. (You can also get a one-month membership for $13). In April, Amazon said Prime had over 100 million subscribers - the first time a number was released for the program - assumably up from the previously disclosed "tens of millions" the company previously touted. Being a Prime member means having access to a host of services from Amazon such as free and fast delivery on eligible items, unlimited video streaming, ad-free music etc.

"In addition to limited-time Lightning Deals throughout the 36-hour event, Prime members in the United States will find more than 140 highly curated Spotlight Deals, which offer our deepest discounts on top brands and the most popular products".

Under the Amazon Prime Day, the e-commerce website will also be offering discounts on a range of iPhones.
