The update reportedly brings the video editing feature found on the OnePlus 6 flagship device to some older models.

OnePlus has rolled out an update to its Gallery app on Google Play that will enable even older smartphones from the company to edit videos using features present in the OnePlus 6. When tapped it will offer three editing options - the first option will help users in trimming the videos down precisely, the second option will let users add filters to the video, whereas the last option will let them add background music to their videos. On tapping the pencil, it will show the above-mentioned video editing tools. The new update brings video editing tools to the stock gallery application and users can now trim video, add music, filters along with support for slow-motion effect. The OnePlus Gallery app is now not holding the highest rating in the Play Store, but we've had no issues with it over the last couple of OnePlus devices, so at least from the stability standpoint, everything should be in order.

OnePlus Gallery app available on the Google Play Store has received an update.

These features have been available in the OnePlus 6 since the phone launched a couple of months ago, and it's nice to see that OnePlus chose to push those very same features to its older devices. Well, all these features have just been rolled out for older OnePlus smartphones like the OnePlus 3, 3T, 5 and 5T. The ability to trim videos is incredibly useful, though admittedly the others aren't as much. If you are the owner of a OnePlus 3 or newer model and need to install the Gallery app, it is available now.

Interested parties should be able to pull down the update over on the Play Store, but you can also pull it down via APKMirror if you'd prefer.

OnePlus has released an updated version of its Gallery app for older OnePlus phones like the OnePlus 5T, 5, 3T and 3.
