Sony, which has always been conventional when it comes to phone designs, but it appears that the Japanese giant is more willing to embrace the latest trends to stay relevant in the industry. With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and the 3,580mAh battery, the phone takes advantage of Quick Charge 3.0 via USB-C and adaptive charging to maintain battery health.

At this moment, we are not sure if Sony Mobile will import this into Malaysia, I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Sony has launched a new phone under its Xperia XA series which is dubbed as Sony Xperia XA2 Plus.

This model is called the Xperia XA2 Plus, and Sony introduced the handset with a YouTube video early on Wednesday.

As well as the change in aspect ratio, which puts it more in line with modern flagships, it's the first phone in the range to sport Sony's High-Resolution audio and upscaling technology, meaning you should get more out of your music than many mid-rangers manage. Both come in 32GB and 64GB storage configurations with expandable storage. The smartphone runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.

The company has also added a dedicated microSD card slot in the device so that users who want more storage can add cards with up to 400GB capacity to increase the storage of their device. The Xperia XA2 Plus is a Single-SIM device and will be available in Black, Green, Gold, and Silver color variants. As far as the camera is concerned, the smartphone boasts of a 23MP rear camera with Hybrid Autofocus, 4K video recording support and f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and 3G.
