The Odyssey Red Ball is a face-balanced high MOI design mallet putter with a Red Ball scope, Versa high-contrast alignment and a White Hot insert, aimed at all golfers who struggle with poor putter alignment and set-up.

To make this new technology even more effective, Odyssey has also incorporated its proven Versahigh-contrast alignment technology into the design, and added the company's legendary White Hot RX face insert to provide enhanced sound, feel and a premium roll. However, if the ball is high in the scope, towards the toe, it means the eyes are too far outside the ball and putter head.

"It's not just that golfers get in an improper setup, it's that their setup changes from round to round, and sometimes from hole to hole", said Luke Williams, Odyssey's senior director of product and brand management for putters.

This new face-balanced, high MOI mallet design is all about getting golfers into the correct posture over the ball before making a putting stroke, and uses a distinct "Red Ball" located under a Scope within the head to perfectly position the face at address.

Other features of the new Red Ball model include the ultra-popular White Hot RX insert with Tour-proven sound and feel, a mallet shape, and more weight concentrated in the extremities of the clubhead to produce a high MOI and enhanced forgiveness and stability. The putter is comes to retail on the 20th July 2018 and will cost £169.

Depending on where the ball is situated within the scope, a golfer can quickly check their setup to determine if an adjustment is needed. The only way for a player to see the red ball clearly is to position their eyes over it.

Carrying on the tradition of innovation is the new Red Ball putter ($180), which is specifically created to improve both set up and alignment. A small red ball was placed in the middle of the putter, and it is in the center of a white horseshoe-shaped ring.
