Former FC Lorient midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is delighted with his move to Arsenal.

Torreira becomes Unai Emery's fourth signing of the summer transfer window as the new man in charge at Arsenal looks to assemble a squad capable of challenging for trophies next season.

Guendouzi, a France U20 worldwide, said that Arsenal is his dream club, one that he wanted to play for since childhood. I hope I can do great things here.

The 19-year-old has also spoken of his desire to become part of Arsenal's history during his career with the club.

Arsenal will be looking to at least break back into the top four next season as they look to bound back from their disappointing trophyless campaign under Arsene Wenger last season.

"He is a talented young player and a lot of clubs were interested in him".

"I want to become part of the club's history and to achieve great things here", Guendouzi told Arsenal's official website. "I want to win titles, titles, titles", said Guendouzi, who will wear #29 with the Gunners. "Winning silverware, as I said, is very important to me and winning things here at Arsenal would be incredible".

Guendouzi, who was plying his trade in Ligue 2 last season, spent his youth career with Paris Saint-Germain and is a France Under-20 worldwide.

"Playing the ball, linking up with my team-mates, battling for the team".

"I'd say my main quality is keeping the ball and my passing".
