The alleged crime occurred April 1, 2017.

Court documents obtained by TMZ Sports show the 39-year-old was arrested in Phoenix on June 14 and charged for sexual acts involving a girl that was nine.

Knight was pronounced dead around 3 a.m. on Sunday after he was found in a downtown roadway.

The Mericopa County Medical Examiner confirmed Knight's death. During the 6-minute video, which Knight described as his "last message on Earth", he expressed feeling lost and without hope and said that he had lived a life of sin. It was the second death of an ex-Bruin this week. I isolated myself from my friends.

The day before Knight's body was discovered, fellow former UCLA basketball player Tyler Honeybutt fatally shot himself on Saturday after a standoff with police, USA Today reports. He averaged 14.1 points in his final season at UCLA, second on the team, behind former National Basketball Association player Jason Kapono (16.0), and just ahead of ex-NBAer Matt Barnes (13.5). "No officers were injured and it's unknown if the suspect was struck", said the Los Angeles Police Department at the time. If this happens, you probably have a mental illness.

'I was a taker. and that's why my life ended up where it is now. Life is not a game. I hear voices in my head constantly. Later in the video he says "I just feel like I don't belong here on Earth". He went undrafted in the 2002 NBA Draft, but continued playing basketball in the D-League, Europe, Japan and with the Harlem Globetrotters. But he said he left "some things" for him, saying it's not much, but it's what he had left.

The AP News reports Escoto as saying, "I planned on going to his house to talk, but his mom called me 45 minutes later saying, 'He had a gun and was talking insane... I told her to call 911".

Honeycutt played for UCLA from 2009 to 2011.
