Reese Witherspoon, a New Orleans native, has plenty to say about Southern women in her new book, "Whiskey in a Teacup: What Growing Up in the South Taught Me About Life, Love, and Baking Biscuits". The book's title is based on a saying of Reese's grandmother Dorthea about how beauty and strength make southern women whiskey in a teacup. "She will be joined by a special guest for the conversation and audiences will learn just how easy it is to bring a little bit of Reese's world into their home, no matter where they live".

Charlotte will be the third stop on the tour, after New York City and Charleston. The book, which is available for pre-order at many places, including Barnes and Noble, will be available for purchase on September 18.

Award-winning movie star Reese Witherspoon is coming to Louisville, Ky., on September 21 to promote her new book called Whiskey in a Teacup.

Witherspoon then will move on through Birmingham, Ala., Louisville, Ky., Washington, D.C., Nashville, Tenn., and Waco, Texas.

According to AL.com, tickets will be available for purchase Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Although she's earned her greatest fame as an actress, Witherspoon's also a producer and entrepreneur. Each ticket will come with a copy of the book.

Altair Eyewear, a subsidiary of Marchon Eyewear, has signed an exclusive global licensing agreement with Reese Witherspoon's Southern-inspired fashion and lifestyle brand, Draper James to design, manufacture and distribute Draper James optical product. She won a Best Actress Oscar in 2006 for her role as country singer June Carter Cash in "Walk the Line".

Waco is the smallest city on the book tour, highlighting the power and allure Magnolia offers for these type of events.
