Also, Jonathan Kasdan is in the middle of signing his contract to rewrite Indiana Jones 5.

Aside from pushing back Indiana Jones 5 to a date that could see its star, Harrison Ford, dead by then (he'll be 78), Disney also announced that Jungle Cruise will bring Dwayne Johnson back into theaters on October 11, 2019, while Angelina Jolie's Maleficent 2 will sequel into theaters on May 29, 2020.

It was reported late last month that Indiana Jones 5 would be delayed past the July 2020 release after not being expected to meet its planned April 2019 start date.

This is the second time the film has been pushed back: It was originally set to hit theaters in July 2019 before being rescheduled for 2020. That bumps it nearly exactly a year from its previous July 10, 2020, release date.

Harrison Ford, seen here in Blade Runner 2049, is now appearing as Indiana Jones in 2021. Break out the map and the plane overlay, though perhaps it should be a TARDIS, as the new Indiana Jones movie is on the move to 2021.

While movie fans certainly don't want to think of a world without Harrison Ford in it, the man sadly won't be with us forever. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a disappointment for many, though, Ford did turn in a believable performance, despite the fact that he was well into his 60s during filming. That's a question that he and Steven Spielberg still seem determined to answer In a couple of years when they finally get to work on this thing.

Spielberg also has a slate of other projects he is now working on, including a remake of musical "West Side Story" and religion drama "The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara".
