According to the court docs per TMZ, the Be Careful singer says Klenord "Shaft" Raphael was too controlling over her career and had set up a management deal that was much too one-sided.

Cardi B's former manager filed a lawsuit against her back in April for $10 million, citing that the star rapper cut her off from expected royalties and other riches.

The suit claims that Shaft used money that belonged to Cardi for his "personal travel, entertainment and expenses" and his company KSR's employees had taken $15,000 as a loan without Cardi's knowledge. The plaintiff claimed that Cardi B "has not only declared the agreements to be 'void and unenforceable, ' but she has also repeatedly defamed Shaft, falsely communicating to her fiancé Kiara Kendrell Cephus p/k/a Offset, members of her entourage, and the public that 'Shaft is robbing me'".

Tense: Cardi B says Shaft tried to drive a wedge between her and her now-spouse Offset.

She further revealed in the suit that the estranged manager, made the management deal way too beneficial to him. Cardi B's agreement with WorldStar and KSR entitled Shaft to 20 percent of her gross income. The lawsuit alleges that Shaft was "a self-serving and controlling personal manager" who breached "contractual and fiduciary duties to Belcalis Almanzar, an immensely talented and trusting young artist".

Cardi also claims that Shaft was "negligent" in record-keeping responsibilities; the suit reads that a proper accounting of funds was not kept. In the suit, she said that bled over into her dating life, with Shaft telling her "who she should and should not see romantically".

Cardi B is now one of the hottest hip-hop artists with the success of her smash hit "Bodak Yellow" past year.

A representative for Cardi B was not immediately available for comment. Her latest album "Invasion of Privacy" was released earlier this month and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 200.
