That is the claim of the player's agent Horacio Gaggioli.

Marco Asensio will be staying at Real Madrid this summer, according to his agent.

Asensio has scored 21 goals in 91 appearances for Madrid but the 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a summer move to Merseyside ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

Liverpool had been linked with a summer move for the Spanish worldwide, but this was never greeted with any concern in the Spanish capital such is the gulf between the two clubs financially and in terms of potential success.

The Spain global was signed by Madrid in late 2014 and has played the past two seasons with the Champions League holders.

Horacio Gaggioli who represents Asensio stated when asked about the future of his client: "Marco does not move, he's growing a lot and next season will be very important for him, he stays at Real Madrid".

Asensio cost just €3.9million when he joined Real from Mallorca in November 2014 and has since blossomed into one of the La Liga giants' hottest prospects.

And during the World Cup in Russian Federation, he responded to the reported interest by saying: 'Liverpool?

Asensio only signed a new six-year contract with Real last September with his release clause set at a whopping £442million.

Gagglioli added that he felt Cristiano Ronaldo would end up joining Serie A champions Juventus.
