A Wild West stage coach did turn up in the game yesterday though and there's expected to be a lot more of that as Fortnite Season 5 gets ready to start on Thursday, July 12.

This follows previous delays for Fortnite fans during past season crossovers. Recent leaks also suggest that the entire map could undergo a massive makeover and feature a desert theme for all of Season 5 with completely revamped places of interest.

So while Fortnite fans have a few extra days to complete their tiers, Season 4 will finish on Wednesday, July 11.

The Fortnite season 2 end date, and Fortnite season 3 release date, ended up being delayed by one day.

Some fans on Reddit think that the props are part of some sort of global ARG (alternate reality game) and that there's a clue in their placement as to what will happen next in Fortnite.

The Fortnite Worlds Collide event appears to be the evolution point for Season 4's transformation into Season 5.

And the good news is that Epic Games are planning to get things started early for almost all players, regardless of where they live.

Without a doubt, Epic Games' decision to do some guerrilla marketing across the globe for Fortnite is the company's way of promoting Season 5 of the game, which is set to go live not too much longer from now.

Those who do will receive all of the rewards up to their current level, retroactively, Epic Games has confirmed. The image shows a rift like the ones that have been appearing in the skies above Fortnite's map, with a mysterious mask behind it.

Fortnite is not as old as other online multiplayer games with millions of players, such as World of Warcraft, Counter-Strike, or World of Tanks, but it definitely managed to quickly gain a large following.

Shared earlier today through the game's official Twitter account, a mask hovered above the Season 5 text with a starry background.
