First introduced in 2015 to mark the retail giant's 20th anniversary, Amazon Prime Day has spurred many other sites including eBay to launch their own summer sales, and is due to kick off this year at noon on Monday 16th July.

The big shopping event gets underway on July 16 with 36 hours of deals then following. DealNews says it tracked some top-notch Lightning Deals on Prime Day 2017, especially in electronics and items for the home.

"For the first time, we will be launching our ultra-fast two-hour delivery for customers in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru", said Subbu Palaniappan, head, Prime member-engagement, Amazon India. It's also the month when Amazon Prime Day 2018 is going to happen.

Prime day is starting early, and one of the best deals is 4 months of Amazon Music Unlimited for only $0.99 or $0.99. As part of providing a new experience, Amazon India will be launching Virtual Reality outlets across 11 malls in Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Kolkata.

The deals are available to Prime members only.

The sale frenzy provides several exclusive discounts to Aussie Amazon Prime members, and lasts until midnight (AEST) on July 17th. There's also a good chance Amazon will offer a discount on Prime subscriptions in the run-up to Prime Day, so your best bet is to wait and see.

Amazon would add five such fulfilment centres - warehouses where stuffs are stored, sorted and transported to destinations - by end of this year. The 4K PicturePerfect processor seamlessly up-scales any program to more than 8 million brilliant pixels.
