Forward Jonas Jerebko plans to sign with the Golden State Warriors upon clearing waivers on Monday, league sources tell ESPN.

During one season with Utah, the 6-foot-10 veteran from Sweden appeared in 74 games (19 starts) and averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 15.3 minutes per contest, shooting 41.4 percent from the 3-point line. Otherwise, he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

Jonas Jerebko, who previously played for the Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz, is reportedly set to sign with the reigning National Basketball Association champions. Should he clear waivers without a hiccup, there's little doubt he'll prove a solid fit with the Dubs - and here's why.

ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news. Jerebko's $4.2 million was not fully guaranteed.

The reigning National Basketball Association champion Golden State Warriors took another step in the right direction per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, who announced Saturday morning that newly waived free agent forward Jonas Jerebko intends to sign with the defending champs once he clears waivers on Monday. Jerebko has a $4.2M salary that would need to be guaranteed if he's claimed.

Waiving Jerebko opens up a roster spot for Utah. He is a career 36.3 percent shooter from 3-point range.

Golden State did not bring back guard Nick Young, who was a primary shooting option off the bench last season.

The signing would give the Warriors 13.
