Each Playground match lasts for one hour, and the storm circle won't begin closing in on the map until 55 minutes have passed.

Regardless, here's the rundown on what you can expect to see in the Fortnite Playground v2 limited time mode.

Playground is leaving gameplay rotation on 12th July.

The next version of Playground is expected to feature new functionality that will allow players to select teams from within Playground.

"1v1s and 2v2s, Aim assist for controllers, Editing other player's structures, Traps affecting teammates/enemies correctly, Highlighting teammates on the map, Damaging enemies with your pickaxe".

Until there is a set arrival date, players will continue to express their creativity and push the limits of Fortnite: Battle Royale in the Playground LTM.

While it's now finally active and working as intended, it is a limited time mode, and as such won't be in rotation forever.

In order to tweak this now Permanent Time Mode for even more enjoyment 24/7, the team over at Epic Games is making a few key improvements to the already incredibly popular feature.

With that said, it will be returning at some point and will become a full-fledged creative sandbox mode for players to hop into and just go absolutely nuts.

"So much fun to scrim and build battle them".

The game mode was originally added on June 27 with the v4.5 update, but it was quickly removed after a slew of matchmaking issues were uncovered.

But it looks like Playground is here to stay permanently, which will make a lot of fans very pleased considering it's incredible popularity.
