Pokemon Go also slowly eased players into Raids, starting with high level players and then slowly enabling the feature for lower level players.

Niantic has begun a gradual rollout of the new features - trading, friends, and gifts - announced earlier this week for Pokemon Go.

It's unclear how many players will eventually be able to use the trading feature, but for now, it's only accessible by players that are level 30 to 40. These players also confirmed that the Friend Code is a unique 12-digit number, which isn't entirely dissimilar to the friend codes used to connect players on Nintendo devices. The ranges of friendship include Good Friend, Great Friend, Ultra Friend, and Best Friend. You develop your friendships based on how much time you spend playing the game together in a number of the other activities.

"While the trading/friend system might seem a bit complicated, with its stardust requirements and daily limits and friendship requirements, it theoretically helps limit some issues that a free-for-all trade system might face", according to TechCrunch.

The trading feature itself isn't meant to be easy.

The popular mobile game announced that it would be adding a new friends system that would allow players to trade with each other. Each trade with a friend will cost you both an equal amount of stardust.

"We wanted to make sure we got this right", she said. These gifts contain special 7km eggs that can be hatched into Alolan Pokemon, which are variants of select first-generation Pokemon first introduced in the Pokemon Sun and Moon games. "I hope we came up with something that's natural and enjoyable".
