The spinoff - tentatively titled The Conners - has received a 10-episode straight-to-series order, and is set to premiere this fall in Roseanne's former Tuesdays-at-8/7c timeslot.

The show is the result of negotiations that stripped Barr of any and all creative or financial input while she retained the rights to the title character, Roseanne Conner, and any future spin-offs or reboots.

Said ABC in a press release, "The Conners' stories demonstrate that families can always find common ground through conversation, laughter and love".

Us Weekly reported that the cast issued a statement regarding the spinoff series and how they are "happy" to be able to continue the work they had done upon Roseanne's return to ABC in March 2018. Additional casting decisions will be announced by ABC at a later date. The current order calls for an initial ten-episode run.

This essentially means that everyone else on the show will still have their jobs, something Roseanne Barr herself acknowledges in a statement.

Werner will executive produce the show along with Gilbert. She's considering giving up financial and creative participation in a spinoff so the people she loves can have jobs.

Werner added: "We are grateful to have reached this agreement to keep our team working as we continue to explore stories of the Conner family".

At the time Channing Dungey, President of ABC Entertainment, said: 'Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values and we have chose to cancel her show'.

The network last month canceled "Roseanne" after a racist tweet by Barr.

Following weeks of speculation after ABC cancelled its most popular show due to its star's racist tweet, ABC has announced plans to revive "Roseanne" - without Roseanne.

Actress Roseanne Barr waves on her arrival to the 75th Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, California, U.S., January 7, 2018. It's unclear at this time how the family will continue without Barr's character or how she'll be written out.

But the rest of the Roseanne cast will return, including Sara Gilbert (as Darlene), John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Lecy Goranson (Becky) and Michael Fishman (DJ).

One character who will not be on the news series is Roseanne's original star, Roseanne Barr.
