Since Lamborghini is often associated with speed, OPPO is finally introducing its Super VOOC charging technology on this special edition premium device. This edition includes 512GB of built-in storage and carbon-fiber textured back and SuperVOOC charging. The base variant will cost you Euro 999 (roughly Rs. 79,000) and will be made available in August.

Oppo has started sending out media invites for an event in India on July 12. A China event is scheduled for June 29. Coming to the storage, the Find X comes with up to 256GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded further with a microSD card.

There are a few things that are not present on the OPPO Find X, first of that is fingerprint security. This helps keep the seamless design of the phone looking elegant, making the front of the device all about the display and the user's ability to interact with it, and the back of the device about the shifting gradient colors. Instead, there is a motorised slider that opens and closes automatically whenever you open or close the camera app.

While a number of Android phone brands have embraced the notch at the top of their device screens, a couple of them are bucking the trend with innovative approaches to creating a bezel-less front fascia without ditching the selfie camera. Some of you might already be raising an eyebrow, but OPPO states that the mechanism is quite durable, tested in its labs and rated for at least 300,000 actuations. On the camera app is opened, both the single front camera and dual rear cameras will be sliding out. The front is all display, with a slight Galaxy S9-like curve around the side edges.

What do you guys make of the OPPO Find X? Oppo also claims that its "O-Face Recognition is 20 times safer than fingerprint recognition for unlocking the phone". Oppo uses the 3D Structured Light Technology to map out the nose, eyes, and other facial features, and "personalize your selfie" as a result.

Atop Android 8.1 Oreo, Oppo has loaded the latest version of its custom interface, ColorOS 5.1.

The phone's claim to fame is a 6.4-inch 1080p OLED display with a 92.26% screen-to-body ratio, making this the nearly bezel-free phone we have all been looking forward to. Alongside the Oppo Find X, the Chinese company also launched Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition smartphone, thanks to its collaboration with the Italian supercar company.

The 3D facial recognition also supports mobile payments. It has a 25MP 3D front camera with an aperture rate of f/2.0 for selfies, video calling etc. The AI-enhanced 3D Camera is equipped with a 3D lighting techniques and filters for artistic portraits.

There's also a 3,730 mAh battery, complete with fast charging. The connectivity features of the smartphone will include 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, NFC, Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Global Positioning System and USB-Type C.

Sure, that's a cause for concern, but it remains to be seen how well the Find X holds up over time.
