iPhone SE 2 - Renders of what new budget iPhone could look like Mon, March 26, 2018 The iPhone SE 2 is rumoured to be launching in 2018. Looking at the camera on the 6.0-inch mockup, it is about 1 mm to 2 mm larger than the iPhone 7's, possibly hinting at an improved camera. Apple has placed an order of 70 million OLED panels with Samsung Displays, out of which 45 million are of the 6.4-inch model.

This model is almost the same size as the current iPhone 8 Plus but 1 mm wider and 1 mm shorter.

However, cases made for the 8 Plus won't work on the iPhone X Plus.

Apple is expected to release three iPhones in the same style as the iPhone X later this year, and one of them is expected to rise from the pack, literally and figuratively. There's not really an analog for the device in Apple's previous iPhone lineups, since it's rumored to replace both the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus but with a new form factor.

The source also highlights that the 6.4-inch iPhone X Plus will likely feature the same camera technology as the current iPhone X, with the TrueDepth sensor measuring in at the same dimensions. The 6-inch iPhone is seen as a way to attract more price-conscious customers to upgrade to a modern model, with slim bezels, Face ID and an A12 chip. Two of the devices will have an OLED panel, while the third one will be the most affordable one with a 6.1” LCD panel.

There have also been rumours of a smaller iPhone SE 2 (2018) which could cram in an iPhone X style edge-to-edge notch screen.

This would allow for a small phone option that still sticks to Apple's new screen tech.
