By emailing a request for an appointment to, potential customers will be one step closer to snagging one of the $4,600 replicas.

'It's a very "Stella McCartney " dress, so it didn't feel like I was cheating anyone, or not being us'.

The exclusivity of the dress is a result of it having been specifically designed for the royal wedding, which is also why the replicas are being made with sustainable viscose while Meghan's was made of silk.

It comes as eco-designer Stella McCartney announced that she will be recreating the very dress she designed for Meghan's wedding reception look - and they're going to be available to buy for a select group of her clientele.

McCartney first spoke of her pride at designing the dress in an interview with WWD the day after the wedding.

'I knew it would be a dress that people would want, and, in that moment, you can think, "Nobody can have it!", or you can share it.

Meghan joined the Queen for their solo royal engagement just one month after becoming an official member of the royal family when she married Prince Harry.

The show-stopping white halterneck gown was "the last moment" that Meghan, 36, could reflect "the human within her", McCartney added.

Meghan Markle, she of the not-quite-royally-permitted "messy bun" and off-the-shoulder dresses, has found yet another subtle way to put her own twist on royal beauty: with her manicure.

McCartney had previously spoken of her "pride" at make the stunning halterneck dress for the evening reception at Frogmore House - calling the commission "a big deal".
