Arsenal have been locked in talks with Leverkusen over a deal for Leno for several weeks and the goalkeeper is poised to make the switch to the Emirates.

Sports publication Kicker have revealed that the Gunners are set to unveil the signing of Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno on Tuesday for a fee of around £22 million.

And according to German newspaper Bild, Leno will be unveiled as an Arsenal player tomorrow.

The 26-year-old is expected to sign a five-year deal and the move could be finalised later this week, sources said.

Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Serie A side Napoli have turned their attentions towards signing Petr Cech from Arsenal, after missing out on a deal for Leno.

He has earned six caps for Germany, but despite being selected for last year's Confederations Cup was cut from Germany's 23-man squad for the World Cup finals.

The former PSG manager has around £70m to spend this summer following the arrival of Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus on a free transfer.

The German worldwide has been one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the Bundesliga in recent years and kept 10 clean sheets in 33 games last season so I think he'll be an excellent addition to the squad.
