Bethesda will also be implementing micro-transactions into the game, but they plan to use the profits from those to fund development of the game's post-launch content. "You're going to open up the paper map, and you're going to see where the other people are", Jeff Gardiner, a project lead at Bethesda Game Studios, said.

He added that there would be a trading system, and that the team limit right now was four players, although everything was adjustable internally.

As an online title, Fallout 76 will inevitably be prone to attacks from griefers, namely players who invade the servers to exclusively wreak havoc and ruin the fun for everyone else. However, Bethesda eventually revisited Fallout 4's would-be multiplayer and turned it into Fallout 76, which we now know to be an online survival game. They ultimately decided not to go that route, but their discussions continued and morphed into Fallout 76. We've since learned that the game will be chock-full of West Virginian sights and folklore, that there will be a big emphasis on crafting, and that the nukes players can find and launch will be a big part of the story.

That's according to Danny O'Dwyer during NoClip's Fallout 76 making of documentary, who says that troublemakers will be slapped with a wanted level.
