Google is applying its penchant for organizing the world's information and making it easily accessible to the highly stressful area of choosing a college.

Users can see the average costs of colleges after financial aid is applied, as well as view the typical costs for students based on their families' household income brackets to get a better sense of tuition figures.

Google college search enables you to find out necessary info about USA four-year schools. The company also had assistance from education researchers and nonprofit organizations, high school counselors, and admissions professionals. There are also options to dig into stats about the student body, notable alumni and similar colleges. It's primarily designed for mobile, but there are also some new features on desktop.

Google claims that the information for each school comes from the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), a comprehensive data set available for four-year colleges.
