Arsenal and Liverpool linked goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen is prepared to leave Barcelona if the Catalan giants receive offers for him this summer.

With Marc-Andre Ter Stegen firmly installed as Ernesto Valverde's preferred number one choice, opportunities have been hard to come by for the Netherlands global. The 26-year-old has thwarted off any competition for a starting berth which has left second choice keeper Jasper Cillessen with very rare game time this season.

Cillessen made just one appearance each in the La Liga this whole term as well as the Champions League.

Cillessen has three years left to run on his current contract with FC Barcelona but the Dutch shot stopper has played second fiddle to Germany global Marc-andre ter Stegen.

According to Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, Cillessen has had enough of being in ter Stegen's shadow, and wants to leave Barca.

However, Barcelona may play hardball with other clubs regarding Cillessen's sale this summer.

It's led to intense speculation that Cillessen is eyeing a move this summer in search of regular first team football and the Daily Mail reported recently that Liverpool and Chelsea have expressed their interest in luring him to England but Barcelona were initially reluctant to lose their number two.

The Dutchman has been vocal about his need to play more football, but has stopped short of demanding a move away from Barcelona, the club he joined from Ajax in 2016.

None, though, have so far been in contact with Barça to make a concrete offer for the goalkeeper.
