Alec Baldwin: I Could 'Absolutely' Beat Trump in 2020

Navarro, a Republican strategist and "never Trumper", confessed her preference to CNN host Brooke Baldwin on Tuesday during a segment that centered on Alec Baldwin's recent comment to Howard Stern that he is "1,000 percent" sure he would "absolutely win" if he ever challenged Trump for the presidency.

Stern even suggested that Baldwin, who has portrayed the president on "Saturday Night Live" since 2016, should "run for president as Donald Trump" because "that way everyone will have everything".

"If I ran, I would win", Baldwin said Monday on Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show. I would 1000 per cent win...

"I'm told she loves it", Baldwin continued.

"If I ran for president, I would win".

The actor and the president are somewhat connected.

And in March, Trump claimed Baldwin's career was "dying" before he started impersonating then-candidate Trump, and claimed it was more "agony" for viewers to watch Baldwin play him.

After doubling down on his hypothetical victory, Baldwin went on to say that his campaign would be "the funniest, most exciting, most insane campaign".

"I'm only saying that because people don't really have a sense of who's going to come up", he said. "Somebody great's going to come up, I hope".

Baldwin did say, however, that he would love to run for that type of position. He also said he would miss spending summers with his five children: Ireland, 22, Carmen, 4, Rafael, 2, Leonardo, 21 months, and Romeo, 3 weeks.

Baldwin said he wants Democrats "to have a smart opposition to keep them on their toes".
