Wilder: I've Agreed To Joshua Fight In UK, Ball In Their Court!

The deal, however, has not yet been signed.

"We have agreed to the terms that Eddie has put out to us for a fight in the U.K. Deontay has accepted his terms to fight in the U.K.", Finkel told ESPN.com.

Terms for the first fight in the United Kingdom have already been agreed, as have the terms for a U.S. return. The "Bronze Bomber" is 40-0 with 39 knockouts.

Finkel claimed Wilder had agreed to a rematch clause.

Wilder's posts come just days after Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn said his "gut feeling" was that Britain's IBF, WBO and WBA champion would fight his WBA mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin in September, with a Wilder bout due to follow in February or March. The two sides continued to speak, however, including an in-person meeting last week in NY between Finkel and Matchroom Sport founder Barry Hearn.

As evidence of the moneymaking potential, the Los Angeles Times' Lance Pugmire reported in May that Finkel and Al Haymon were prepared to give Joshua $50 million guaranteed if he was willing to fight Wilder in the United States.

'The story is very simple and that is Deontay Wilder today, accepted the terms that Anthony Joshua's team gave us, ' he said. "It's now in Joshua's court".

'Hopefully, we'll get an answer in the next day or two. We want the fight next, we're waiting for the contract and we're ready to go'. Wilder would be one of the biggest bouts in boxing.

The WBC title is the only one remaining on Joshua's radar after he added the WBO championship to his collection by defeating New Zealand's previously unbeaten Joseph Parker in March by unanimous decision. Among his notable victories are an 11 round TKO of former lineal world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko in April 2017.

Wilder, 32, a native of Alabama, has made seven defenses - all by knockout - of the title he won from Bermane Stiverne in 2015.
