"Marvel's Luke Cage" is returning to Netflix after a almost two-year hiatus, and with it comes another delicious dose of Alfre Woodard as the divine Mariah Dillard.

Politics looks to be bringing plenty of pain in the second season of Luke Cage. The actor portrayed Mariah Dillard, a Harlem politician who moonlit as a crime lord and came to bedevil Mike Colter's titular hero. The video then zooms in on Misty's new appendage, which she will no doubt begin to use on the streets of NY and Harlem to fight alongside Luke Cage. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain. In this new trailer for Luke Cage season two, Mariah and her quest to improve Harlem - even if that means destroying it - take center stage.

In the clip we see new cast member Mustafa Shakir (The Deuce) as John McIver aka Bushmaster, going head-to-head with Mariah over the fate of Harlem.

Cheo Hodari Coker returns as executive producer and showrunner of the series, and Lucy Liu directed the first episode of Season 2. Mariah and Shades (Theo Rossi) aren't exactly allies to Luke Cage, and if this promo is any indication, they're not joining forces without a little fight.
