By delivering looks at new multi-platform games like Devil May Cry 5, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, The Division 2, Dying Light 2, Just Cause 4, and Cyberpunk 2077, people may just connect those games to Xbox One first and foremost.

Playground Games. Microsoft has acquired United Kingdom -based Playground Games, a development partner since 2010 that has helped grow the "Forza" franchise to new heights. The game will also be available on Microsoft's gaming subscription service the same day. "Developed by 343 Industries and created with our new Slipspace Engine".

As Polygon reports, away from games Microsoft made two significant announcements.

That original content is core to the message Microsoft is using to sell Game Pass. They also revealed they were doubling its game development studios by adding five new creative teams to the Microsoft Studios family.

So putting all the clues together, I'd wager this is not Halo 6, but more of a side-project where we play as a Spartan soldier training up and gathering resources before the big conflict, which will come in Halo 6.

Xbox head Phil Spencer announced Sunday that Microsoft has acquired Ninja Theory, Playground Games, Undead Labs and Compulsion Games.

What seemed impossible has finally been done- Microsoft has nailed a press conference.

"The world of gaming is on a historic growth path", Spencer said at an Xbox media event ahead of the formal start of the Electronic Entertainment Expo here this week. If you thought Halo 5 could have used more Master Chief, Microsoft says you'll get more play time with the series' protagonist this time around. But Microsoft continues to work to improve it, and we are seeing the results of that at E3. Microsoft didn't let up, showing one game after the next with few missteps along the way.

Spencer is far from the only one talking about streaming: Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that streamed games will replace consoles some time after the next console generation, and EA has announced its own cloud streaming service.
