"We know that feeling is heightened when you're bringing home a carryout order from your local Domino's store", Russell Weiner, president of Domino's United States of America, said in a statement.

The website for the effort includes video that allows users to see what four different road conditions can do to a pizza traveling to a customer. "Now Domino's is hoping to help smooth the ride home for our freshly-made pizzas", the company announced in a press release Monday, June 11.

Domino's Pizza has launched a campaign to fix potholes in towns across the country.

"Potholes, cracks, and bumps in the road can cause irreversible damage to your pizza during the drive home from Domino's", the Paving for Pizza website reads. The company says it's already repaired roads in Bartonville, Texas; Milford, Delaware; Athens, Georgia; and Burbank, California, and the campaign will continue for three months throughout the summer.

Domino's Pizza has added a new item to its menu: pothole repairs. "We appreciated the extra Paving for Pizza funds to stretch our street fix budget as we addressed more potholes than usual", the city manager told Domino's. If you want to get your local roads fixed by Domino's, visit their Nominate Your Town page to enter your zip code.

Fouracre declined to disclose specific grant details, but said they're "smaller", "not multi-million dollar" awards created to add on to pothole-fixing budgets. On May 3, a Domino's spokesperson said the discovery was "an extremely isolated incident, confined to a single store".
