Assassin's Creed Odyssey will release in October, according to Ubisoft's store page

The much-rumoured Assassin's Creed Odyssey was confirmed by Ubisoft at its E3 2018 press conference. The Star Fox collaboration with Starlink: Battle for Atlas was cool, but who knows if that game will suffer the same fate as many other recent toys-to-life titles.

Recently announced by the publisher is a follow-up to 2017's Assassin's Creed Origins - called Assassin's Creed Odyssey. So, here are six things new in Assassin's Creed Odyssey that we think change the formula in interesting ways. Yeah. That's just so different for AssCreed, the series where Leonardo makes you a wrist-mounted shank-me-do.

Ubisoft has also revealed that the game will release on October 5th.

When the game was first delayed, Ubisoft said that it needed more time to develop the game and deliver fans the experience that they hoped for. So what are we expecting?

A large crew is on board the ship and we get to see some of the UI being teased, which seems to look similar to an MMO style system. Origins was known for its breathtakingly lovely recreation of ancient Egypt and Odyssey promises more of the same for Greece, but numerous locales seemed almost identical to places found in Origins. This time, you'll be on the Aegean Sea with your ship at times, and able to interact with Spartans, Athenians, pirates, and mercenaries on the sea.
