Chief Keef was apparently shot at by an unknown assailant very early this morning while standing out in front of the W Hotel in New York City, according to media reports. Fortunately, the shooter missed, and no one was harmed.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Chief Keef was shot at around 6 a.m. Saturday, but the bullets hit hotel signage. This is according to a TMZ report, which states that the artist was returning from a night out at around 6 a.m. when a shot was sacked at him.

Police found shell casings and are looking for two black men wearing black hoodies who fled the scene. Keef is staying at the hotel and was on his way back in when gunfire erupted. 6ix9ine is now in Los Angeles. Now his rap rival Tekashi 6ix9ine is taunting him on social media which means this beef could escalate even further.

At this time there is no known concrete connection between the alleged threat from 6ix9ine on the West Coast and the shooting at the opposite end of the continent.
